One of the finest batsmen in Bangladesh’s Cricket history, Tamim Iqbal is popularly known for his elegant style of playing. The left-handed opening batsman has been the only cricketer to be ranked No.1 across all formats of the game. He is also the sole cricketer from Bangladesh to record 10,000 runs across International Cricket and the leading run getter across all formats. In 2010, the cricketer had set a remarkable benchmark when, he became the first Bangladeshi batsman to get his name on the Lord’s Honours Boards and in 2011 he was named as Wisden’s Test Cricketer of the Year. He had a fairy tale ending to the 2019 edition of the BPL, where his century helped Comilla Victorians to seal the Championship. Tamim has the world record of scoring the most runs in a single ground which is 4375 runs in Mirpur (Dhaka).
