Known for his accuracy and clever variations, Nasum is one of the most reliable left-arm spinners in white-ball cricket. In 2020, he earned his first national call-up, following which he made his T20I debut in New Zealand in 2021. With a brilliant four-wicket haul in Bangladesh’s historic T20I win over Australia, Nasum announced himself on the big stage. In 2022, he played a key role in Bangladesh’s 3-0 ODI series sweep against the West Indies. A handy lower-order batter, his crucial 44 against India in the 2023 Asia Cup helped seal a memorable victory. With a strong comeback in 2024 with 3 for 28 against Afghanistan, he remains a vital asset to Bangladesh cricket.
