Raima Sen

Granddaughter of the legendary actress Suchitra Sen, daughter of Moon Moon Sen and a lineage to the royal family of Tripura, this blue-blooded beauty made her debut with Vinay Shukla’s ‘GodMother’ with Shabana Azmi. Known for her critically acclaimed films, this demure, doe-eyed actress soon proved her acting prowess with films like ‘Chokher Bali’, ‘Antar Mahal’, ‘Parineeta’, ‘Manorama Six Feet Under’, ‘The Japanese Wife’, ‘Baishe Shrabon’, ‘Bastushaap’ and several others. Known to be the director’s actress, Raima Sen has worked with some of the renowned directors like Rituparno Ghosh, Aparna Sen, Pradeep Sarkar, Sandip Ray, Kaushik Ganguly, Srijit Mukherjee, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Reema Kagti and Anubhav Sinha. In the year 2006, Raima Sen received the BFJA (Bengal Film Journalists’ Association) Most Promising Actress award for Sandip Ray’s ‘Nishijapon’. A self confessed foodie and fitness freak, this Bengal beauty initiated her career at a very young age.
